Maizy, Erin’s beloved shelter cat, passed away on August 20, 2024 at the age of 17 years old.

Maizy was so tiny when she was born that she was the runt of her litter, but despite her small size, she had the biggest appetite and was always hungry. She loved snuggling up to anyone, whether it was her mom, Erin, or her cat brother and sister. Over the years, she transitioned from snuggling up to the side of her human friends to lying on top of them to cuddle more closely.

Nicknamed “Crazy Maizy” for her upbeat personality, Maizy loved lying in the sun, looking out the window, chasing bugs, hanging out with her cat siblings, and sitting on the patio.

Maizy leaves behind her cat mom, Erin, as well as her fur sister Millie. She also left behind her fur brother Blackie, who passed away just a few months after she did.

“I miss her sweet face and meows,” Erin said. “She was tiny all her life like a junior cat and had the most kitten-like energy of my three cats.”
