Blackie

Blackie the cat passed away on November 19, 2024 at the age of 18½ years old. 

Blackie was adopted from a pet shelter as a young kitten and his first months were challenging. He initially hid under the bed, hissing and avoiding human interaction, but his cat sister Millie helped bring him out of his shell. With Millie’s calming energy as a guide, Blackie eventually began to trust his human family, after which he blossomed into a sweet, loving companion with a big personality who had a fun and wacky side as well. 

Blackie was a loyal companion, following his family around and keeping watch out the window. He loved looking for squirrels, birds and bunnies outside, relaxing in the yard and walking on his leash to explore the neighborhood. An expert cuddler, Blackie loved snuggling with his human mom, Erin, and often slept right next to her. 

Blackie is survived by Erin as well as his cat sister Millie. He was preceded in death by his cat sister, Maizy, who died on August 20, 2024.
