Callie passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024. For 13 years, she was a loyal friend to Jennifer and Tom O’Leary, who adopted her after finding her on the side of the road in North Jersey.

Callie found joy in almost everything, but she especially loved hanging out with her friends at the dog park, where she played with pals as small as yorkies and as big as Great Danes. She was gentle and sweet but also loved to wrestle and chase the ball across the yard whenever she had the opportunity. She slept at the foot of her parents’ bed, protecting them up until her last days.

In addition to Jen and Tom, Callie leaves behind her two human brothers, Todd and Mark, as well as her fur brother Seamus. They plan to have a small memorial service over Christmas, which was one of Callie’s favorite holidays because she enjoyed sniffing for gifts under the tree to figure out which may be hers.

Anyone who would like to honor Callie should consider donating pet supplies to a pet shelter this winter.
