Spock

Spock, the dog with the floppiest ears and sweetest nature, passed away peacefully at home on January 6, 2025, with his parents, Alan and Kendra Harris, by his side.

Kendra adopted Spock from the Green County shelter in 2020, when he was already about 9 years old. They didn’t know anything about his background, other than the fact that his ears were about 200% larger than the rest of his body, which prompted them to name him after the Star Trek character. But unlike Mr. Spock, Spock the dog showed a wide range of emotions, usually happiness. 

Spock was always in a good mood, and immediately greeted his family whenever they walked in the door. He loved taking walks to the dog park, playing with his best friend Gus, and meeting new people and animals.

Spock leaves behind Kendra, Alan, his human brother Caleb, and his dog sister Penny. He was preceded in death by his cat sister, Aubrey.
